Meet Fabio Fina, MSW, LSW
I am a licensed social worker, trauma psychotherapist, and men's group facilitator with ten years of experience in the field. I specialize in helping individuals suffering from emotional, psychological, and inter-generational trauma. Many of my clients also struggle with codependent dynamics in their relationships, which can show up as struggles with setting healthy boundaries or avoiding conflict to not "rock the boat." I have helped many people stuck in hopeless cycles of depression, guilt over past decisions, sharp inner criticism, and surprising outbursts of anger.
I earned a Masters in Social Work from MSU Denver, and a Bachelor in Human Development from Prescott College. I spent the past ten years, facilitating hundreds of men's groups, restorative justice circles, and helping folks moving from trauma and depression into a renewed sense of hope. I have successfully supported people struggling with the following experiences: sexual trauma and abuse, war and terrorism trauma, early childhood neglect and abuse, inner criticism, and perfectionism, sports trauma, and car accident injuries.
My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic (focused on early-life and past traumatic events), attachment-based, empathic, and experiential. Our therapy sessions will be in-depth, practical, and help you explore the core patterns that keep you stuck in life. Some of my treatment methods are Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems Therapy, EFT/Tapping, and Narrative therapy.
